We are exchange timeshare owners. This is the fourth time we have traded into Willow Valley. The cabins are very pleasant cabins on the mountainside. There are two and three bedroom units in the cabins. All have fireplaces. Kitchen includes all appliances plus washer and dryer. Resort amenities are indoor pool, golf, tennis and a picnic shelter. Lots to do in the area. We come in summer but it's an all season area for recreation. Several good restaurants in the surrounding area, Daniel Boone Inn and Over Yonder especially . Not far to Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Ashe County Cheese and Mast General Store are favorite stops.
Bad experience. My wife and i had reservations two weeks ago. We arrived after hours and i called to let them know and i was told there would be a code on my paperwork to get my key When i got there the box was locked and i did not have a code to get my key. There was no after hours or emergency number to call so i had to go back to town and get an over priced hotel room because it was homecoming weekend. A lady named Barbara could not help me or was even sympathetic towards my plight. She actually thought it was kind of funny. I should have done a better job of listening because i was driving and did not write the code. The fact there was no emergency number was frustrating. It was only about 10 pm when i arrived, but no one to call. I may have felt a little better if the resort had called me and said they were sorry for the inconvenience and ask what could they do to make me feel better about my experience. I would have considered going back but they seemed not to care at all, and everything was my fault. Poor customer service. I received a refund but they charged a fee. The whole experience was a nightmare. If you book ask if they have an after hours number to call in cases like this. I guess they dont need any new business because they were rude and unsympathetic
Very close to Boone and the rooms are nice but not up to date. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful!
We stayed in the condos. They were awesome! The front staff was very friendly, and even cleared up an issue with my reservation in seconds. The views are breathtaking and there's a lot to do in the area. Unlike some other vacation spots, Boone has a ton of grocery stores, restaurants, and recreational activities. I will absolutely stay at Willow Valley again!
My husband and I just checked out of one of the cabins which is such a quiet, quaint, cozy cabin. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs to make this a magnificent vacation. There is so much to do in the surrounding area. We even cut a fresh Christmas tree to take back to Florida! Getting to this resort is so easy and convenient! Took advantage of the indoor pool and spa. We would definitely come back!!
